Poll: What is your favorite play by Shakespeare?

After reading Romeo and Juliet in LA class in 5/6 grade, seeing Henry V on a field trip, reading A Midsummer Night's Dream just now, and already being aware of some of Shakespeare's plays, what is your favorite? Could it be the the famous tragedies Hamlet or Macbeth, or the comedy Twelfth Night, or the history series of all of the Henry's?

There are so many plays to pick, what is your favorite by Shakespeare? Comment on why you picked your play and if you picked other, than please explain why.

  1. I've only read Romeo and Juliet (twice actually) and of course A Midsummer Night's Dream, but I definitely enjoyed A Midsummer Night's Dream more. I felt like Romeo and Juliet was very black and white and it doesn't leave you with a million burning questions, but I do like how it's about two star crossed lovers and all that. A Midsummer Night's Dream is much more a story for everyone and it's a lot more broad in the sense that you don't know the characters background very much and it lets your imagination soar. Its a story that is about lovers but it's also has comedy and it also is just much more appealing in a way? I am having serious issues with words and these are totally run on sentences, sorry Mr. Gallo!!

  3. Well Charlotte, don't forget about the tragic deaths of poor Thisbe and Pyramus! Those were very, very tragic!
