Twilight

This post it for Twilight. Here on this post, you can comment on what you thought of the book, the characters and anything else you thought was interesting. Since there are people who have not finished the series, this will post will be for people who have read twilight. When commenting, please don't mention anything else from the other books because other people might not have gotten that far. Plus, if you have seen the movie, what do you think of it? Is it better or worse than the actual book? Did you like the actors and actresses? Was it how you imagined? I will have other posts later about the other three books. Stay tune and comment!

  1. I am reading Twilight right now. I like it so far, but the chapters are extremely long.

  2. Twilight is the only book I actually like Edward in.
I think it's my second favorite book from the series.

  3. Alex,
This post is a great idea. I'm sure that many of your classmates will be interested in sharing their thoughts, especially since so many of you have read this book! Good Job.

  4. Yve what's your favorite out of the series if Twilight is your second? And how can you only like Edward in this one? He is AMAZING! I liked Twilight because it was the beginning to the series (duh) but I thought that Stephanie Meyer built more momentum after Twilight. During Twilight you were just learning about each characters personas and she didn't really have enough of the good old fashion vegetarian vampire drama. Although there is James and Victoria. i also like how after Twilight Stephanie Meyer goes more into detail about the non main characters but it still connects to the main characters (I won't say who or why because not everyone has gotten that far). Twilight was like my 3rd favorite cause I love the vegetarian vampire drama! My favorite type actually!

  5. Yeah, Amanda I agree with you abut how Stephanie Meyer puts more details in about the non-characters later in the series. I think it really helps. Personally, I really liked this book. I think it was a great start to the whole series and it really made me want to read more. After reading it, I was really hopping Bella would become a vampire. Except I think in the movie, Bella and Edward fall in love WAY to fast. I mean, like in the movie it is portrayed as if they fall in love in like a week. I think it would have been better if they mentioned that months past, like in the book. Plus, thanks everybody for commenting on my blog. I really appreciate it, and keep on commenting!

  6. I know in the movie I'm like OMJ! How can anyone fall in love so fast. And they don't even show total forbidden love in the movie until James came around (did that makes sense?). Oh by the way, I pre ordered the movie so I say party at my house to watch it and watch the bloopers! Robert Pattinson, my love! And I totally agree with you about how it really helps the story when Stephanie Meyer puts more detail about the other characters (not the non-characters cause they still are characters) later on. I felt the exact same way after reading Twilight hoping Bella would turn into a vampire, but after reading the rest of the series I think Bella still had to learn more about vampires and their history so yeah I'm glad she didn't (again not saying all I want cause we are only talking about the first book... unfortunately).

  7. Alex! To look at quotes from all four books go to my blog! It's cool to look at them and be like I know when that happened!

  8. The book was DEFINITELY better than the movie. The movie was ok, but their relationship was way too rushed so you didn't get to really feel how they got so close. The girl who played Bella was ok, but I think her acting made Bella seem too independent, when in the book my interpretation was that she was completely dependent on Edward.

  9. Carli it's funny you say that because I was watching a Kristen Stewart interview (the girl who plays Bella) and she was saying that she felt that Bella was independent because she always had to be the grown up. Although she said that she felt that Bella should be played independent I totally agree with you. But I think in the beginning of the book Bella is independent but one she falls in love with Edward she becomes dependent on him.

  10. I was really bored so I searched Edward Cullen in Google and clicked the link that led me to wikipedia and it was really interesting how they interpreted him; check it out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Cullen_(Twilight)

  11. I think that so far this is my favorite book and I really want to read the other books, but I haven't really had a chance to, because in the library, they are already checked out.

I also wanted to say that the movie really wasn't that bad and I really enjoyed it, but I thought it was really funny when Bella is on Edward's back and Edward was running. It looked really fake and funny.

  12. Oh, by the way, I liked at that Wikipedia web page about Edward Cullen and I didn't like that they only had a picture of Edward. Bella and the other people are important, too, but everything else was good. It was a little boring to read all summaries and information, though.

  13. Diego what book are you on I could lend it to you. I have them all, but David is using Eclipse and Carli has Breaking Dawn but New Moon is free.

  14. Amanda, my favorite is Eclipse, and I despise everything about Edward.
